Cost is £25 a day, reduced to £20 if booking for siblings or multiple days (multiple days can be across all our holiday clubs for this year to receive the discount, it is not just limited to booking multiple days in the same school holiday).

Scammonden View is a small family run business set within 7 acres overlooking Scammonden Dam. We offer an exciting outdoor experience for children including den building, bush crafts, orienteering, nature crafts, team building/problem solving activities and much more.

At our holiday clubs you leave your children (aged 6yrs+) in our care for a full day of outdoor fun.

From Barkisland/Ripponden area continue past Ringstone reservoir on Saddleworth road then immediately after passing over Scammonden Bridge turn left into Ryefield Lane and continue down to where the road forks. Take the right fork and drive on Lower Road (please be aware that it is a narrow single track road and please be mindful and courteous of pedestrians) and park in the small public car park (owned by Yorkshire Water) on the end which is next to Scammonden View. Alternatively you can park on Ryefield Lane and walk on Lower Road to Scammonden View. Please do say hello to the goats as you pass, they usually love a bit of attention.

If you are coming from Outlane side be mindful that your sat nav may take you down some narrow roads. To avoid these don’t turn right when it signposts Scammonden reservoir but continue on New Hey Road until you reach the junction with Saddleworth Road (car park opposite), turn right onto Saddleworth Road until you reach the motorway bridge. You need to turn right before the bridge onto Ryefield Lane and then follow the directions above.

Please be careful if you come down Church Lane instead as there are large ditches on each side of the road that are hidden by the grass verge.

Please gather in the field in front of the car park where someone will meet you and take you through to Scammonden View.
