11 July 2023This was amazing fun for the kids. Let's be clear, it's cold up there I'm October! We did the Halloween experience, making broom sticks, dens, wand making, brewing up a potion. Followed by hot chocolate and marshmallows cooked on a fire.

A great choice for keeping the children entertained during the 6 weeks. A bit different to the usual school holiday clubs. My children went for the first time on Wednesday, as it was suited to my 10year old daughter as well as my 7year old son. Neither share the same interests yet mutually enjoyed this experience. Will definitely be bringing them both back x

Had our 9 year old's party there today. It was brilliant. Very well organised activities, kids kept entertained for 2 hours non-stop, lunch boxes were great too, just right. Would definitely recommend š¤©

Our Mission
Who are we?
Scammonden View Outdoor Experience is a fun outdoor adventure destination nestled within 7 acres boasting fabulous views overlooking Scammonden Dam. Our aim is to provide outdoor fun to as many people as possible, therefore we are flexible to your needs and can organise sessions from 1 hour to a full day, either as a one off or on a more regular basis.
We are open all year for pre-booked groups from any sector: education; business; not-for-profit groups; sports and social groups; birthday parties; holiday clubs; plus family groups and groups of friends who just want a day of outdoor fun!
We aim to offer an unforgettable outdoor fun learning experience for all ages, where the thrill of exploration and the wonders of nature converge.
The types of activities we offer include:
- Den/shelter building
- Bush craft / survival skills
- Orienteering
- Soft archery
- Outdoor crafting (e.g. Nordic slinging, gods eyes)
- Team building games/activitiesĀ
- Potion making
- Digging for dinosaurs
- Hunting for treasure
- Tool making
We also have other play equipment available for anyone to use such as mud kitchens and sand pits.
And no trip to Scammonden View is complete without toasting marshmallows and hot chocolate round the campfire!
